2 schedule updates for basketball schedules:
Saturdays junior high basketball tournament in Hoehne will start at 8:00 am not 9:00. We will have to move leave time from 6:45 to 5:45 am for the bus.
- Las Animas High School @ Hanover has been moved from Feb. 1st to Jan. 26th at Hanover. Varsity only with girls starting at 4:30 pm.
"A Christmas Carol" presented by the Las Animas Jr/Sr High Theater Program. December 16 & 17 @ The Bent County Community Center. Curtain time is 6:00 pm and tickets are $5.00 at the door.
High School Students: If you are interested in planning and helping with Santa Fe Trail Day you're invited to the next meeting to check it out. The Santa Fe
Trail Day Committee will meet December 6th at lunchtime in the Library. Bring a disposable tray for a treat.

LASD Staff Celebrating 12 Days of Staff Fun! Today’s dress up was: “Spirit of the Season” Wear red & green & start the countdown - employees participating get a free “jean” day. Tomorrow is “Tree Topper Day” favorite holiday hat, headband or tree topper.
Today three staff members (one in each building) will find a Grinch in their classroom and a bell door hanger their door. Here is how this fun will work:
1-You can move the Grinch and his bell one time per day. This movement can be before school, at your lunch (if it doesn't interrupt someone else's classroom), and after school. The staff member left with the Grinch at 2:00 pm on Dec. 21st will suffer dire consequences! 🎄😫. Watch for more fun pics during December!

Jr. High Parents: For the safety of our students and to allow staff to know where students are before school, please drop all Jr. High students off in front of the high school at 300 Grove. The bus lane and parking lot are not a safe place for students to be getting out of vehicles.
